
Alabama Harvest Holiday

Using only locally sourced ingredients, I developed seven recipes for a cool-season menu equally suited to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Recipes highlight nearby harvests of fruit and pecans, CSA-grown root vegetables, artisanal goat cheese, smoked sausage from the southern part of the state and stone-ground grits and farm eggs from Wilsonville's McEwen & Sons. I wrote the accompanying text and produced the food for all shots.
